South Ayrshire Befriending Project (SABP) is an award-winning charity that supports young people across South Ayrshire through mentoring and befriending relationships. We’re seeking a committed and experienced Project Manager to lead our dynamic team and take the charity forward through its next phase of development.

 

👤 About the Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery and development of our befriending services. This is a key leadership position that requires strong project management, people management, and strategic thinking skills. You'll manage a small, dedicated team, support our network of volunteers, and ensure high standards of service delivery and safeguarding.

You’ll also play a vital role in securing funding, building partnerships, and championing SABP within the community and beyond.

 

✅ What You’ll Bring

Essential:

Proven project management experience, ideally in a charity, youth or community setting

Strong leadership and staff/volunteer management skills

Experience of fundraising or managing funding streams

Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities

Skilled in stakeholder engagement and building strong, collaborative relationships

Effective communication, presentation, and reporting skills

Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation approaches, including data analysis

 

Desirable:

Background in youth work or delivering services to young people

Experience in delivering training or facilitated sessions

Experience working in the voluntary sector
