Updated: Mar 25
Due to the coronavirus pandemic South Ayrshire Befriending Project suspended all befriending activities on Monday 16th March to ensure government guidelines regarding social distancing are adhered to. As we write today we anticipate that one to one befriending and group activities could remain suspended for up to 12 weeks. This is to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our young people and families, our volunteers and staff, and the members of our immediate community and beyond, especially those who are particularly vulnerable at this time.
Our office is closed for the foreseeable future but staff will continue to work from home where possible. We know these are very worrying and difficult times and will stay in touch with our young people and volunteers; we are not doing befriending at the moment but we will do everything we can to help.
Please keep an eye out, here on our website, and on our Facebook page too, for important updates and sources of additional support.
